Twitch Affiliate requirements

There are four requirements, all measured inside a rolling 30-day window. You need to meet every one of them at the same time. Clearing three and missing the fourth does not qualify you.

Twitch Affiliate requirements as of August 2026
Requirement Target
Followers 25 followers
Hours streamed 4 hours
Broadcast days 4 days
Average viewers 3 avg viewers

Your total follower count, not a 30-day figure, so followers you already have all count. This is the one requirement that never resets, so it is usually the first one streamers clear.

4 hours

Four hours of total broadcast time inside the window. That is cumulative, not per stream, so four one-hour streams count exactly the same as one four-hour stream.

4 days

Four separate calendar days on which you went live. Two streams on the same day count once, so spreading your hours across the week matters more than stream length.

3 avg viewers

Your average concurrent viewer count, measured across your qualifying broadcast days. This is the requirement that stalls most new streamers, because it depends on other people showing up rather than on your own effort.

The requirements changed in 2026

Twitch lowered the Affiliate bar as part of its Monetization for All update. Most guides still quote the old numbers, so it is worth knowing what actually moved:

Requirement Before Now
Followers 50 25
Hours streamed 500 minutes 4 hours
Broadcast days 7 4
Average viewers 3 3

Twitch Affiliate FAQ

What are the Twitch Affiliate requirements in 2026?

As of Twitch's Monetization for All update, you need 25 followers, 4 hours streamed, 4 separate broadcast days and an average of 3 concurrent viewers, all measured inside a rolling 30-day window.

These thresholds were lowered in 2026. The old bar was 50 followers, 500 minutes, 7 broadcast days and 3 average viewers, so if you read an older guide the numbers will look higher than they actually are today.

Do my followers reset every 30 days?

No. The follower requirement is a total, not a 30-day figure - every follower you already have counts toward the 25. The hours, days and average viewer requirements are the ones measured inside the rolling window.

How is average concurrent viewers calculated?

Twitch averages the number of people watching at the same time across your qualifying broadcast days. It is not total views and it is not unique viewers - a stream that 300 people dipped into for a minute each can still average under 3.

This is why average viewers is the requirement that stalls most streamers: the other three are within your control, and this one depends on other people turning up. Our Twitch viewer bot exists precisely for this gap.

How long does it take to get Affiliate?

If you can hold 3 average viewers, the mechanical requirements are quick - 4 hours across 4 days can be done inside a single week. Most streamers are not blocked by hours or days; they are blocked by viewers and followers.

Use the calculator above to see which requirement is actually holding you back, then read how to get Twitch Affiliate fast for the tactics that move it.

Does Twitch invite you automatically?

Yes. Once you meet every requirement, Twitch sends the Affiliate invitation automatically - there is no application form. You can watch your live progress in the Achievements panel of your Creator Dashboard, which is the authoritative source. This calculator is a planning tool, not a live read of your channel.

What do you unlock as a Twitch Affiliate?

Affiliate status is what makes you eligible to receive a payout - subscriptions, Bits and ad revenue on your channel. Since Monetization for All, many of the tools themselves are open to everyone, but Affiliate or Partner status is still what lets you actually get paid.
